Oh come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! Psalm 95:6 Sunday Worship Services during the summer: 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall A nursery in the Hospitality Room, across from Fellowship Hall, is provided for infants and toddlers, and Children's Church is held, following the Pastor's Children's Message, for children ages 3-8 years old During worship services we gather together as a community of Christians to learn more about God and about ourselves as God’s children. Worship services combine music, prayer, fellowship and teaching. Each service cites biblical passages that are central to that Sunday’s lesson. In word, prayer and song we seek to experience God’s hospitality to all and to echo Christ’s call to faithful service. Sacrament of Communion Our congregation celebrates the two sacraments of the Reformed tradition – the Lord’s Supper and Baptism. The Lord’s Supper, or Communion, is served the first Sunday of each month. All who are baptized are welcome at the Lord’s Table, including children. At our Sunday morning worship the Communion elements are served to the people where they are seated in the pews. At other services, such as Maundy Thursday, the elements may be served by Intinction, which is breaking bread from a common loaf and dipping it into a common cup. Sacrament of Baptism The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated every other month on the second Sunday or when required for an adult believer’s first-time profession of faith. In our tradition, baptism is an act that takes place in the midst of our congregation’s worship. Generally, we baptize by placing water on the head of the infant, child or adult. The congregation pledges to be present for the newly baptized person and to help and support them as they grow in faith.
