Marisa McGovern

After spending many years as a preschool parent at Presby, Marisa joined the staff at First Presbyterian in 2018 as a curriculum consultant for the preschool. Marisa has been transitioning into the Preschool Director position after working closely with curriculum, policy, and staff members. Marisa studied Early Childhood Development at Syracuse University and went on to receive her master’s degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. She taught and worked as a literacy coordinator for several years in Moorestown before resigning to spend time raising her three sons, Connor, Quinn, and Owen. With all three boys in full-day school, Marisa is excited to take on this next chapter where she will be working alongside exuberant, enthusiastic, kind teachers who share in her delight and belief that all children deserve to be surrounded by people who appreciate and encourage them to be unique and curious about the wonderful world around them.
