Free childcare is available during in-person worship (9:30 - 11:15) for those with young children. The summer nursery is located across the hall from the worship space in Fellowship Hall. Save time by filling out the information form below before you come. Childcare is also offered during many of our special events and services.
Sunday School is an important part of First Presbyterian’s ministry. Grade-level classes have wrapped up for the 2020-2021 school year. There will be Sunday morning activities for the youngest kids during the summer in-person worship services. Watch for Sunday School registration info in August.
During this hour, dedicated volunteer teachers instruct children and their peers. They read, discuss, and apply Bible stories to their lives. Many interactive activities are incorporated into each curriculum, guaranteeing a fun and lively class each Sunday. By beginning class in the Sanctuary at the 10 am service, children experience worship and prayer together as a family of faith before separating into their individual classrooms.
Each Spring we set aside time to teach our Third Graders about the Sacraments of our faith and what it means to share in the Lord’s Supper. This special 5 week course takes place during Sunday School in the Spring, and ends with Third Grade Communion Sunday.
To volunteer as a teacher or for additional information, contact our director of Christian education, Gabrielle Heimerling.
