Sunday School is an important part of First Presbyterian’s ministry. For fall 2020, lessons and activities are being sent to families via email. Gab Heimerling and her Sunday School teachers want to stay connected and are mindful that many families are overwhelmed by new school realities. The goal is fun and connection! Use the registration link above to join virtual Sunday School.
Under normal circumstances, classes are separated by age and meet in designated classrooms September through May from 10am – 11 am. All Sunday School students ages 3 through 8th grade, meet in the Sanctuary at 10am and leave for class after the Children's Message.
During this hour, dedicated volunteer teachers instruct children and their peers. They read, discuss, and apply Bible stories to their lives. Many interactive activities are incorporated into each curriculum, guaranteeing a fun and lively class each Sunday. By beginning class in the Sanctuary at the 10 am service, children experience worship and prayer together as a family of faith before separating into their individual classrooms.

Each Spring we set aside time to teach our Third Graders about the Sacraments of our faith and what it means to share in the Lord’s Supper. This special 5 week course takes place during Sunday School in the Spring, and ends with Third Grade Communion Sunday.
