How to Join

Are you ready to take the next step and become a member of First Presbyterian Church? Would you like to learn more about who we are and what we're about? Then register for our upcoming New Member Class. For four Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM between May 15 and June 5, we'll meet online to talk about God's call, what is unique about Presbyterian beliefs and practices, and where you fit in this congregation.  MEMBERSHIP FORM

You do not have to be a member to participate in church activities or groups, but we would love to make your connection to our community of faith official! New member classes are held in the fall and in the spring. In the class, you’ll explore how you can follow Jesus Christ through worship, service, and membership at First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield. We receive new members in the following ways:

• The Sacrament of Baptism. Anyone who has not been baptized may become a member of First Presbyterian by the Sacrament of Baptism. Baptism is a sign that Christ washes away our sins and that we have become members of Christ's body, the Church. We baptize infants and small children as well as teens and adults because baptism is a sign that God always takes the initiative in our relationship with God.
• Letter of Transfer. Members in good standing in other congregations may transfer their membership to First Presbyterian Church.
• Affirmation of Faith. Baptized Christians who are not currently members of a church or who belong to a church that will not transfer membership to a Presbyterian (USA) congregation can re-affirm their faith in a ceremony during worship and be received as members.
